We went to the Atomium and Mini-Europe today. They were really cool to see.

The Atomium is a structure that was built for the 1958 World Expo. This was the first world expo since the 2nd World War. The Atomium was meant to only remain in place for 6 months, but it was so popular that they left it up. It has become a symbol of Brussels. Inside each orb are different things. One has displays about the 1958 World Expo, one has displays regarding iron, and the beginnings of high rise buildings, one or two can be rented out for events, and the top one has an observatory and restaurant in it. It was a really windy day today, and as we stood inside of the orbs we could feel them moving a little bit! Trippy!

Going up!

Tyler coming up.

Funny kids, this really isn't how these chairs were intended to be used!! :)

This room can be rented out by school groups. In each large orb there's a bed. They do sleepover field trips here! Fun!
We got lunch at another Frits place.

Tyler and Janae with their Pittas. Yummy!
Mini-Europe is a park of models depicting famous places and buildings around Europe. It was fun to walk through it.

Josh had a Coke, and had a picture taken with it at every photo op! HAHA.

In front of Grand Place, where we visited yesterday in downtown Brussels!

Fabulous shoe photo op! :)

With his Coke...

We took the bus to and from these attractions. We got back to the apartment around 4:15, and then Dave and the boys went to a theater close by to see the new Hunger Games movie! It was opening day here, which is 3 days before it opens in the USA! They felt special to be able to see it early, and they loved it.

Janae got ahead in school, and I took a 2 hour nap! I meant to only sleep for 1/2 hour! I must have been really tired!

Then we had a late dinner, and then it was more school and work. It was a fun day.
