Last weekend, we drove from the London Stansted airport to the lovely town of Bewdley, England. We're staying here with my Grandpa Penn's cousin Barbara Longmore (Penn) and her partner, Bill Goodall. Dave, Josh and I are staying in their home, and Tyler and Janae are staying with Barbara's sister, Elaine and her husband, Peter in Wolverley. Neither couple felt like they had enough room for us all, so we split up. It's about a 15 minute drive between the homes, so it's not too bad. Each morning we go pick up Tyler and Janae, and then we take them back in the evening.

On Friday, we arrived at dinnertime, and Barbara had made a nice dinner for us. We visited and then took Tyler and Janae to Peter and Elaine's and visited with them for a little while, before turning in for the night.

On Saturday we went for a walk with Barbara around Bewdley. It's a charming town, it's oldest homes dating from the 1400's I think. She is the secretary of Bewdley's Civic Society and she loves history, so she was able to share interesting things about buildings in the town with us as we walked around. Plus she spent some of her younger years here, and had other family that lived here.

At the Bewdley Museum, an old-fashioned fire engine!

The Severn River, which apparently floods, all the way up to the houses a few times a year!

At my great-something Aunt Lil's old house. :) My Grandpa Penn's dad's sister's. Barbara used to visit here as a child and play with her cousins. The railings were added in more recent years, and it's been divided into apartments.
We thought this combination of signage was comical!

The road that Barbara and Bill live off of. Notice the ridiculously narrow street!
