Sunday, October 11th we wanted to attend church at the Kidderminster building. We arrived at 10am, which is when the website said that they met, but no-one was there and the gate was locked! We were disappointed. We decided to go back to Barbara and Bill's and watch a session of General Conference that we hadn't seen yet, from the previous week. We really enjoyed the session, it was wonderful, but we still wish we could've met with the Kidderminster members. Oh well, maybe they had Stake Conference.

Barbara made a picnic lunch for us all and we picked up Peter Smith, her brother-in-law, and ate a picnic lunch at a park. Then they took us to see the "cave homes" near Peter's house. They're actually called "Rock Houses" at Holy Austin Rock. There is evidence that they were originally carved out of the hillside and were used as dwellings way back in 700 A.D.!!

The insides of the cave dwellings were whitewashed.

Next we went to Kinver Edge. It was a nice walk, and an amazing look-out point, where you can see for miles and miles, in every direction!

Janae and Josh love to pet the dogs whenever they can!

We spent some time over at Peter & Elaine Smith's home and then had dinner with them. We walked around their yard before dinner. They have a very nice property. Their backyard is steeply sloped, with terraces, and a gorgeous countryside view at the top. They showed me some family pictures, and family history sites and pictures. It was neat to visit with them. Elaine made a fabulous dinner for us. Salmon with holandaise sauce & vegetables. Then we had apple crumble with warm custard sauce for dessert. And then cheese and biscuits and grapes! Wow.
