Sunday, Oct. 4th we were exhausted from so much walking from the previous 3 days that we decided to stay at our apartment all day. We had considered going into the city to a free museum after church, but decided that we'd rather stay home. So we slept in, watched our church's General Conference online, which was wonderful, talked to our 3 big kids over Facetime, and prepared to leave early in the morning for Salzburg. It was a much needed day of rest and rejuvenation. :)
We had to wake up at 3:00 am Monday to take a taxi to the Stansted Airport! That was kind of rough, but we recovered quickly.
When we arrived in Salzburg, the lady who owns the apartment that we rented there, Helga, picked us up from the airport! That was sure nice of her. Funny thing, though. When I rented it, I looked at how close to Salzburg it was, but I didn't realize that it was across the German border! We were in Freilassing, Germany, just barely outside of Austria. It was a nice little city. It was really refreshing to be in a small city after experiencing the hustle and craziness of London for a while.

It was interesting to not be able to read signs and product labels, because they were all written in German of course! Dave, Tyler and I went grocery shopping the first day we were there, and it was pretty tricky to figure some of the food out! But the chocolate, bread and cheese there are amazing! Mmmmmm.
Here is our adorable apartment in Germany (we had the whole lower lever):
